This unit or subject is examined by KNEC on those taking the following courses:

 Introduction
This module unit is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him/her apply the relevant labour law in the management of human resources in an organization.

General Objectives
At the end of the module unit, the trainee should be able to:

  • Apply the Employment Act in the management of human resources in an organization
  • Recognize the role of trade unions in the management of human resources in an organization
  • Observe Occupational Safety and Health Act in the management of human resources in an organization
  • Recognize the role of industrial courts in dispute resolution
  • Manage emerging issues and trends in labour law

Topic 4: Law Relating to Trade Union and Employers Organizations
